I have been a spectator of the blogosphere for about 3 years. I enjoy reading and observing the ebb and flow of conservative evangelicalism. The net affect of the blogosphere on my life has been a gaining of perspective. I have learned where I am and where others are around me. I know my surroundings in evangelicalism better. Perspective aids my discernment. Perspective aids my appreciation for and joy in the universal church. Perspective aids my love for a visible assembling of that church.
So why a blog and why now? I do not need to add to the blogosphere. Plenty of blogs exist. And I have nothing to add personally. Plenty of good men are typing good things to read. And plenty of good men are linking to good things to read. This blog is for the writer primarily. I don't anticipate readers.
